It seems like this world is trying to keep us in a perpetual state of fear.
Not again.
It seems like this world is trying to keep us in a perpetual state of fear with a new problem every news cycle. But the Bible says God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Another version says God gives us sound judgment that results in a calm, well-BALANCED mind with discipline and self control.
The message of fear certainly does NOT come from God.
Jesus said, Let not your heart be troubled. Psalms says God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we WILL NOT fear. God told Joshua, ONLY be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be dismayed. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
So today and every day, instead of focusing on the trouble and your weakness, focus on GOD and His strength. Resist the spirit of fear, and it will have NO HOLD on you.
